In Industrial Product Design, it is vital to centre the design around the user and their environment as human factors and usability will make or break a product. we create stylish industrial designs that fit the user’s un-met needs with a look and feel that delights and engages them. Iconic product designs do not happen by accident but come from real user insight, talented designers and a dose of courage to challenge the paradigms.
We work with many media forms through the product design process including story boards, mood boards, space models, rapid prototypes, 2D & 3D images and good old fashioned questioning, listening and observation to create industrial product designs that make a real difference.
At Maddison we are frequently helping innovators to design completely new kinds of products to address unmet needs. As well as creating innovative new concepts, Maddison also helps clients to visualise these. Having developed so many products over the years, our experienced designers can quickly put together a convincing portrayal of how a product might appear, illustrating details which showcase particular features in context. We create these Visualisations as an “artist’s impression” of future product. These are used to better explore ideas, communicate the vision to stakeholders and as an invaluable tool for conducting user and market research. Sometimes they can illustrate how a product works or interacts with users and often in-context images are created by altering stock images and overlaying the new product concept (examples below). These are often used to sell an idea to investors or as part of grant applications.
