Our client, Fuel 3D, was leading the way in the field of 3D imaging with their technology, but wanted working concept models to exhibit at CES, one of the biggest technology exhibitions. Timescales were extremely tight; we had to devise and design a concept and have models made over the Christmas holiday. The product concepts needed to be new, bold and inspiring.
After a fast, intensive briefing on requirements, Maddison created alternative concepts based around the client’s technology. The winning “Spider” concept was selected which Maddison then refined into a prototype design. The specification was finalised, a supplier selected, and the prototypes made and assembled to meet the deadline for the show. From design to prototype took just 15 days.
The result was an eye-catching display which drew the crowds, allowing our client to showcase their technology amid considerable competition.
