At Maddison, we see the graphical user interface (GUI) as an integral part of the overall user experience. We have established a methodology which separates the interaction design from the aesthetic and ergonomic. Our user research informs the definition of user workflows, from which we base our functional wireframes. In parallel, we develop ‘look and feel’ concepts which allow us to explore design opportunities with the client. The two parallel threads are then pulled together into a detailed GUI prototype. From this, a functional design can be coded.
