Invention and engineering

Clients often come to Maddison needing a solution to a problem. At Maddison we pride ourselves on being able to devise and implement elegant, inventive solutions. We work in multi-disciplinary teams, with team members tackling a problem from various angles. This normally results in patentable intellectual property for our client and a market-leading solution.

However, we recognize that we don't have all the answers. Utilizing our longstanding relationships with contacts at top UK universities, we've built a network of partners and subject matter experts across various fields. We can readily call upon them to contribute to our collaborative problem-solving efforts.

Design and development

Maddison's engineers design products that work. We develop early “demo or die” prototypes to test and prove solutions. We make use of design, build, and test-loops to continually improve clients products. You can then have confidence in the viability of your product before the major investment in tooling and production.

The images below show our process at work developing a bioreactor. To the right is an early proof of concept prototype, below is an example showing an early poof-of-principle rig undergoing accelerated life testing. demo or die!

The image (above left) shows on sight product testing of the proof of concept prototype prototype this is then developed into a "works-like" prototype.

The image to the (above right) shows the development of the "looks-like" prototype.

The image above and to the right, shows the construction of the first "works-like & looks-like" prototype. This stage takes place after successful testing of the "works-like" prototype.
